In Indonesia, gado gado is a popular vegetable dish, that is eaten with other dishes, as well as with just rice. Gado gado is very popular on Java, but this dish is also served on the other Indonesian islands. Gado gado is well-liked among vegetarians.

Gado gado is a combination of vegetables that are available at the time of preparation. A good and often chosen mix is: white cabbage, yardlong beans or other beans, bean sprouts and potatoes. The vegetables are served cooked or blanched. The potatoes are cooked and can be added cold and sliced. This dish is almost always served with fried tahoe (tofu) and halved boiled eggs. The lukewarm peanut sauce for gado gado is poured over the vegetable dish as a dressing and sprinkled with fried onions (preferably shallots) and served straight away. A popular side dish to accompany gado gado is emping, krupuk of the melinjo seed.

Ratu Culinair’s mild Gado Gado Sauce is traditionally prepared based on recipes that have been in the family for over a century. Put the contents of the package in a pan along with boiling water and stir into a delicious sauce. For the ideal thickness of the sauce, we recommend 80 ml of water to 100 grams of the basic mixture. Of course, you can add more or less water to adjust the thickness of the sauce.
